Calendula is known as a healing herb. It is a favorite of ours and a standard ingredient among herbalists for it's skin reparative powers. We create an organic infusion of calendula into sunflower oil, which is very light, moisturizing and loaded with vitamins. We also use Camellia Oil which nourishes the complexion and is loaded with anti-oxidants. Camellia seed oil is one of the best kept secrets of the cosmetic industry, it absorbs easily into the skin while refining and protecting the complexion. Not to mention shea butter and beeswax, which are both well known for hydrating and locking in moisture.
The scent of this salve is a light lemony herbal aroma provided by essential oils of lemon myrtle, frankincense and katrafray. All of which are wonderful for the complexion and make a heavenly scent when combined.
This salve would be great when used on the hands to combat winter dryness. A little goes a long way. It could also be used as a lip balm or on any dry areas you want to moisturize and protect.
